Boudoir Q & A
It’s not exactly a well known or fully understood concept. I get that. There’s a lot of “boudoir” out there but not all of it is the same. My approach is modern, romantic, tasteful and only as sexy as you want to be.
I’d love to share some of the questions I often get just before a client books their session.
Q: Do you offer hair and makeup?
A: Yes! It’s included in some of the collections or can be added to your collection at an additional fee. I’ll do the booking with my preferred stylist, She’s located near my studio so it’s an easy transition from hair and makeup to your session.
Q: Will you pose me, I don’t know what to do?
A: Of course!!! I’ll coach you through every movement and facial expression. I’m your biggest fan and hype girl!
Q: Can I photograph nude?
A: Yes! Everything I do is tasteful. You get to decide how sexy you want to be! Not everyone does nude. Some just do topless. It’s all up to you!
Q: Do you photograph curvy women?
A: Yes! Every woman, Every age. Every body type. I’m curvy too, and let me tell you, curvy babes are sexy and beautiful!
Q: Do you have wardrobe I can use?
A: I do have a few non-traditional items you can use. It’s best to come with wardrobe you already know fits well and you feel confident in. We can add peices from my collection to what you have. Fur coats, sheer robes, lace tops…
Q: Will you post my images?
A: Your images will be tastefully selected and posted on my boudoir platforms. I only choose conservative images and sometimes faceless images. I do make privacy exceptions upon request. I will say that it’s liberating for other women to see your images. I simply post tastefully curated photographs of beautiful women to inspire and encourage potential clients to book their own session.
Q: How do I print my images safely?
A: You don’t! I do! There’s a lot of print labs out there. Costco, Shutterfly… but can you guarantee the privacy of your images when some bro at Costco is running the photo department? No. But I can confidently, safely and securely send your images off to print with my preferred print lab knowing that those images are for his and your eyes only. They will not be compromised in any way. I highly recommend all printing goes through me.
Q: I’m scared but I want to do it…?
A: Of course, naturally you would be. Almost 100% of my clients leave their session telling me how surprisingly easy and fun it was. I’ve never received feedback from anyone disliking their experience. It’s truly liberating and confidence building to photograph boudoir with a photographer who you feel comfortable with.
